In 2020 the conference was adapted to a virtual event to ensure the benefits from the conference continued in a COVID safe way. The 2020 conference was held over 3 days from 20-22 October.

Understanding the need for attendees to balance workload and learning, the conference offered recordings and live sessions over 30 days.

Highlights of the conference included:

 3 days of live content
 3 days of networking access
 43 sessions
 23.5 CCE points on offer

The virtual conference provided a range of options to consume knowledge and engage with speakers, exhibitors and colleagues.

We brought together our largest gathering of speakers to date including the Assistant Treasurer, key government regulators, credit professionals and thought leaders – 69 in total.

Topics covered current and future impacts of COVID, balancing customer support with organisational objectives, mental health, team and personal performance, insolvency, economic outlook, hardship and much more.

We thank the 13 exhibitors who shared with us solutions, information and reports (some released only to AICM Conference attendees) and gave delegates opportunities to engage, learn and win prizes.

Credit Team of the Year

Applicants for the 2020 CTOTY represented the quality of teams within the AICM and was  reflected in the 4 finalist teams;

  •  Bunnings - QLD Credit Team
  •  recoveriescorp - Origin Team
Synergy - Digital Collections & Hardship Team
  •  Woolworths Finance Shared Services

Congratulations to the 2020 winner Woolworths Finance Shared Services.

The CTOTY is an excellent process for teams to enrol as it gives the opportunity to review the team, processes and achievements. A common reflection at the conclusion of the process is that the team has really enjoyed working on the project together and they have some great tools to take back to the office.

Thank you to the awards ongoing sponsor Equifax who is a driving force behind this award.

Young Credit Professional of the Year

The 2020 YCP was again a tightly contested competition with each state’s finalist being accomplished credit professionals and performing exceptionally well at the judging.

Well done to our winner Rebecca Roberts (VIC/TAS) and the 2020 YCPA finalists Christopher Holden MICM (NSW), Maddison Graham MICM (QLD) & Briana Harris MICM (SA).
